Star Wars is an American epic space opera franchise conceived by George Lucas. The first film in the franchise was originally released on May 25, 1977, by 20th Century Fox, and became a worldwide pop culture phenomenon, followed by two planned sequels[citation needed, released at three-year intervals. Sixteen years after the release of the trilogy’s final film, the first in a new prequel trilogy of films was released, again released at three-year intervals, with the final film released on May 19, 2005. As of 2008, the overall box office revenue generated by the six Star Wars films has totalled approximately $5.51 billion, making it the third-highest-grossing film series, behind only the James Bond and Harry Potter films. The Star Wars film series has spawned other media including books, television series, video games, and comic books. These supplements to the film trilogies comprise the Star Wars Expanded Universe, and have resulted in significant development of the series’ fictional universe. These media kept the franchise going in the interim between the film trilogies. In 2008, Star Wars: The Clone Wars was released to theaters as the first ever worldwide theatrical Star Wars film outside of the main trilogies. It was the franchise’s first animated film, and was intended as an introduction to the Expanded Universe series of the same name, a 3D CGI animated series based on a previous 2D animated series of a similar name.

VizionUrself: Nike Foamposite Pro “Pearl” Available for Presale Now

In an effort to stop you form having to stand in line, Foot Locker is putting the Nike Foamposite Pro “Pearl” up for pre-sale. You simply need to add the shoe to your cart on footlocker.com, where it will be labeled “back ordered,” but just click “next” to reserve your pair. According to the Footlocker Unlocked blog, the shoe will be shipped out on September 3.

If you don’t want to order a pair online, the shoe will still be available at Foot Locker stores on the same day. For the uninitiated, the difference between the Foamposite Pro and the ever popular Foamposite 1 is the Nike Swoosh on the lateral side of the shoe. The Foamposite Pro was actually released back in 2009 as a House of Hoops exclusive and now has made its way to Foot Locker.

Jay teams with Nike for a pair of black on black on black Air Force 1′s. This design is one of 5 different designs created for the All Black Everything collection, which will be auctioned off tomorrow on eBay to benefit the Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation. Only 2 pairs of each shoe have been created, one pair for Jay and one for the auction, so if you’re looking to cop, get ready to spend a grip. The auction starts tomorrow morning at 9 and Jay will be performing tomorrow night at Radio City Music Hall as part of Nike’s continuing World Basketball Festival festivities.

VizionUrself: Air Jordan 7 Olympic “For the Love of the Game”

The For the Love of the Game Pack that Jordan Brand has on deck has produced some very nice lookingUniversity Blue tinted shoes but a it appears that one of them is set on breaking character in a very welcome way. This Air Jordan 7 Olympic is also set to be included in the drop.

The pair remains to true to its OG colorway with Metallic Silver and White leather atop a Navy/Red/Gold outsole  and his Olympic number on the back. The shoes do host the For the Love of the Game logo on the side embroidered in gold which ties the pair into the drop. Expect these to be super limited. Via Kicks

Daniel Reese recently customized a pair of classic Nike Dunk Highs, using the twitter design as hs inspiration. Twitter seems to be taking over, and so it is no surprise that we finally see the site used as inspiration for a shoe. We must remind you that these are not an official collaboration with Nike, and are instead just a pair of customized shoes. They are avaulable now for $240.

Artists find inspiration in some of the strangest place. However, the end product is usually unique and pushes the envelope just enough to open up our minds. Artist Todd Bratrud has taken that exact approach on a pair of Nike Hi Dunks, dubbed “Skunk”.

The shoe features a multiple shades of green through0ut the upper and are complimented by a purple Nike Swoosh. The midsole is also a shade of green, while the outsole finishes the design in purple. The most striking aspect of the shoe is the textured material used on the upper. They look to constructed of an unfinished or frayed suede that give the shoe an almost grass-like look. The insole is blue with a green skunk, thus the name of the shoe. Look for these to hit at Quickstrike accounts in April.
