What happens when you have a life full of highs and lows… A humble mind! This is a good track to roll up a swisha sweet too, and let the worries of today be forgotten by tomorrow.

“Day N Nite” producer Dot Da Genius decided to let go of the CDQ/finished version of this Kid Cudi demo cut, otherwise known as “I Be,” to help promote his new website: HeadBangaMuzik.com. Vizualize: Drake Complex Cover

For their Feb/March issue, Drake got in dept with Damien Scott, discussing a handful of issues. The backlash the video for “Best I Ever Had” got, his delay because of his knee injury. Talks KiD CuDi and how he may have felt with Kanye directing Drake’s video while CuDi should have been the main focuss, since he was coming out. Also addresses the competition between all the young/new rappers, as well as his old friend Nickelus F.

Around the time that Kanye directed “Best I Ever Had,” it seemed like there was strife between your camp and Cudi’s camp because Kanye was so enamored of you while Cudi’s project was being worked on.

Drake: I wasn’t aware of that. Even so, I could understand. If Wayne were to be enamored—which is a great word—of another young artist, I would be like, “Damn, I’m here too!” But at the same time, it happens in more than one situation. It happens with ‘Ye, and I have a great relationship with Jay, and Jay’s got Wale and J. Cole, who’s one of my favorite dudes rapping right now. I’ve happened to have had more success. I made the most money, I have number-one records, those guys don’t have that shit. And it’s just facts, it’s not even my feelings or that I feel I’m more talented. That’s what the game is about, making great music that earns profit. When it comes to my relationship with the new dudes, I’m just excited for them. I get to sit back in a cool position and be like, “Yo, I’m excited to see you do it now because I know what it’s like, it’s gonna be so much fun for you…”

You feel like you’re at the finish line?

Drake: I’m at the starting line. Those guys are at home, putting on their tracksuits, getting ready to make their attack. When J. Cole gets it super-right, I think he’s gonna have a place as a Nas-type character who really stands for hip-hop, but still makes ill records that everybody fucks with.

If J. Cole is Nas, then who are you?

Drake: [Laughs.] I’m the young big homie!

WTF?!Vizion: KiD CuDi In A Skirt???

You can call him “Moon Man”… or plain ol’ weird.

Seen here rocking a black tee, olive green plaid kilt and some black Jordan’s with red shoe laces. CuDi performed on stage with John Legend and he continues to push the bar… sort of.

KiD CuDi Talks “Pursuit Of Happiness” Video

cudimtv

Kid Cudi recently wrapped filming on the first season of his new HBO series “How to Make It in America,” opened for Lady Gaga on her Monster Ball Tour and is even set to headline his own shows soon — and he’s also found time to work on the video for “The Pursuit of Happiness” with Josh Hartnett and director Brody Baker.
…
“I just saw the first rough cut the other day. Drake is in it. He has a cameo … a bunch of my homies that I knew coming up,” Cudi said. “We were just kicking it. When you see the video, it just makes me feel good, because I’m seeing all my friends and people that matter in my life. We were all celebrating. It’s like a New Year’s Eve-type thing. Everybody’s just getting wasted.”

While “The Pursuit of Happiness” features MGMT and was produced by Ratatat, they weren’t available for the video shoot. However, Cudi is thinking about making another version featuring both groups.

“I’m going to pull the Kanye and do multiples,” he laughed.

KiD CuDi Brings out Drake in Toronto

cudidrake

Last night, Drake came out to do “Forever” at the Kool Haus where Kid Cudi was doing a third show aside from opening for Lady Gaga that night and the inevitable after partying that ensued.

“Only person I’m cool with in this business, everyone else sucks” – Cudi

Related: Pictures of Kid Cudi from a month earlier at Drake’s Birthday

True story: when they played Forever the night before, Cudi and Pat were both jamming out to that shit. Good sight to see.
